In what areas of your life do you feel you're running?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 11, 2009:

Running-boy-1_h-sm
I think I'm still running away from myself. Although I've been consciously working to amend this behavior. I've been afraid of what's in my subconscious that I've buried and that must come up for healing. So, "I'm running (dancing) as fast as I can!" as a line from some movie whose title escapes me is spoken.

Then sometimes I'm running to keep up with myself. I get all kind of ideas and gifts delivered from my intuition and I am not always sure what to do with them, or how to handle them.

All-in-all, running is not so bad unless maybe you (to carry the metaphor further) can't stop for a sip of water, or to smell the roses. Everything in moderation...right?

I was "tagged" by HIM
iamPhoenix3x

I so seldom do any blogging these days but thought I'd give it a whirl to create a little levity today.  This is the tagging game and here are the "rules" to get going. I hope you will join in!

//\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\\///

Tagging Rulez

Directions:- List 7 random things about myself and tag 7 people. Here are the rules of engagement:

1. Link to the person's blog who tagged you.

2. Post these rules on your blog.

3. List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.

4. Tag seven folks at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.

the five love languages...

5lovelanguages
The Five Love Languages

My primary love language is probably Words of Affirmation with a secondary love language being Physical Touch.

Complete set of results
Words of Affirmation: 9
Physical Touch: 8
Quality Time: 7
Acts of Service: 3
Receiving Gifts: 3

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Take the quiz:

basking in the glow...

i'm still basking in the feeling of love from meeting my guru, Amma, for the first time.  she really is the embodiment of unconditional love on the planet at this time, as Yolanda King put it.  her hugs seem simple but they help open the heart and feel a deep place in the self that has much love to give and that has often been covered over with defensive measures, years of learning to harden the shell, lessons in forgetting how to trust.  a simple thing they seem but we are so longing to feel love, to feel warmth and touch, to feel compassion. so hard to manage these days with the world we live in.

"My religion is love," she says. Amma has hugged over 30 million people over the 30 or so years of her spiritual life's work. she sits for hours at a time -- never arising even to use the bathroom -- until all people who have come to have her darshan (vision) have been hugged. this can be 2-3000 people in the usa.  she is truly remarkable for she did not have to undertake to do such a strenous thing.  but as the embodiment of motherhood and divine love, people need the compassion of a mother's hug, and people from infants to the aged come to receive one.

i had thought about this for a year while i couldn't manage to get to the town where she was visiting. i had to watch my friends who were able  to travel. i longed to see her but knew that by hook or by crook, i would get to do so this year.  i am chronicling that experience on my site   . i am missing her--being in her aura, the environment which feels so loving and pure.  to keep hold for another year until she returns to the states.  ahh................

just a few words...

Posted on May 6th, 2006 by Egyirba : FreeToGrow! Egyirba
i have so many blogs around the internet that i have been hesitating to get going here on zaadz (probably the place i should concentrate on!).

i love what zaadz represents. i really feel hopeful and excited by its potential to unite like-minded folk who are involved in making change in the world.

what is most appealing is the opportunity of really connecting with folk that i probably wouldn't get to meet--at least, not so easily. this is one of the blessings of the internet technology as i see it. i get to be a global traveler without necessarily leaving home.

And right now I don't remember how I learned about zaadz but I am just thrilled that this concept exists.  Looking forward to meeting very cool people and lighting up the world!
